This small, consistent routine helps establish the structure needed for effective learning, preparing our young students for future responsibilities with confidence and grace.

School Wear

Children are expected to wear the JoyKids school uniform during school hours. JoyKids provides functional, comfortable uniform sets for boys and girls at RM170/set.

Sports Wear

There is also a separate P.E. Suit that children should wear during gym classes. The P.E. Suit is RM120/set.

Open Communication Channels

JoyKids International Preschool takes pride in our close-knit parent community. We work hard to achieve open two-way communication with parents and guardians.

Seesaw

JoyKids shares information with parents in several ways. Our learning app called Seesaw sends up-to-date info to parents on upcoming events and information on student activities. Parents also have the opportunity to chat with teachers and each other through the app.

Two Month Meeting

Parents and teachers meet face-to-face to discuss the child’s progress once every eight weeks. Teachers will discuss the progress the child is making toward achieving their goals. It is also a time when parents can ask questions. Our teachers work collaboratively with parents to make sure the child is comfortable at school and enjoys learning.

Moving to Malaysia

Malaysia is a multi-cultural country with a large variety of indoor and outdoor activities for children. Malaysia is experiencing a growing economy and offers beautiful family destinations within a short drive or flight. The school is situated in a quiet, safe neighbourhood with many families nearby who have small children. There are several large shopping centres nearby that offer indoor activities for children and sports clubs, with various lessons available.

The quality of private health care in Malaysia is comparable to international standards and relatively inexpensive. Housing and transportation quality contribute to a high standard of living in Malaysia, which makes it a very attractive destination for families. While Malaysians speak several languages, English is commonly spoken, and people are very friendly and helpful. The weather is mainly hot and humid year-round, with average temperatures of about 30 °C.

JoyKids’ welcoming community means newcomers to Malaysia can find support from new friends. The school staff is experienced in helping children adjust to a new environment and will make every effort to ensure they feel welcome and comfortable as they settle in.
