Every child’s story begins with a sense of belonging. At JoyKids International Preschool, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued and free to explore. This belief has guided us since we welcomed our first families in 2013.
JoyKids was founded to give young children more than a place to prepare for school. We wanted to create a warm community where their questions are welcomed, their individual strengths are noticed and their first friendships have room to grow. Over the years, generations of children have filled our classrooms with ideas, laughter and discoveries. Families have trusted us to share in the moments that shape their children’s early lives.
Today, our educators continue that work through attentive relationships and purposeful learning experiences. Children learn through play, conversation and inquiry. They practise expressing their thoughts, listening to others and finding the courage to try something new. We celebrate progress in all its forms, from a first confident greeting to a thoughtful question or an act of kindness.
As our community has grown, so has our vision for each child’s journey beyond preschool. JoyKids is now managed by GrowBright International School, bringing our educators together around a shared approach to learning. At JoyKids, children build confidence, curiosity and the ability to ask questions through play and purposeful exploration. These foundations support a natural transition to GrowBright’s inquiry-based learning and International Baccalaureate (IB) pathway, where they can continue to think independently, understand different perspectives and grow as compassionate learners. For families, this connection offers the reassurance of a familiar educational philosophy as their children move into primary school. Our commitment begins with knowing and nurturing each child today, while helping them feel ready for the opportunities ahead.

Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to JoyKids International Preschool. It is a privilege to care for and educate children during their earliest years, from 18 months to six years of age. These years should be filled with warmth, wonder and the confidence to explore. We want every child to feel safe, known and valued as they discover their interests and grow at their own pace.
One of my favourite moments in a classroom is hearing a child ask, “What if we try it this way?” It tells me they feel comfortable sharing an idea, trying something new and taking an active part in their learning. Our educators make space for those moments. They observe and listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and offer guidance that reflects each child’s strengths and needs. Sometimes the most valuable support is knowing when to step back and let a child discover what they can do.
Learning at JoyKids takes many forms. Our cross-curricular, Montessori-inspired approach connects stories, creative work and hands-on exploration with early academic learning. Sport, outdoor experiences and cultural activities give children further opportunities to build confidence, persevere and work with others. In our multicultural community, everyday friendships help children appreciate different languages and perspectives, while learning to show kindness and respect.
I believe children learn best through caring relationships. We share their excitement in discovering something new and recognise the effort they make along the way. We also value the relationship between home and school. You know your child deeply; by listening to one another and sharing what we see, we can support each child’s next meaningful step together.

At JoyKids International Preschool, we believe a strong education nurtures every part of a child’s development. Alongside early foundations in language, literacy and numeracy, children need opportunities to form friendships, understand their emotions, care for their wellbeing, express their creativity and discover what they are capable of doing. When children feel known, safe and valued, they gain the confidence to explore and take an active part in their learning.
Our educators recognise that every child brings different strengths, interests and experiences to school. By observing, listening and working closely with families, they provide guidance that responds to each child’s needs. Children are encouraged to make choices, share their ideas, work through challenges and take pride in their progress. This personal attention helps them develop independence and resilience at a pace that is right for them.
Across our early years programmes, which welcome children from 18 months of age, JoyKids offers age-appropriate learning experiences that encourage curiosity and exploration. As children grow, our IB-inspired curriculum deepens this inquiry-led approach, encouraging them to observe closely, ask questions, investigate possibilities and reflect on what they discover. An interest in plants, for example, might lead to storytelling, drawing, counting, outdoor exploration and conversations about caring for living things. By connecting these experiences, children come to see learning as meaningful and relevant to the world around them.
Holistic education also shapes how children relate to others. Through shared projects, play and everyday routines, they practise listening, cooperating and resolving disagreements. Art, music, movement and sport give them further ways to express themselves, build confidence and persevere. In our multicultural community, children encounter different languages, traditions and perspectives, learning to value their own identities while respecting those of others.
Together, these experiences help children become curious thinkers, confident communicators, caring collaborators and increasingly independent learners. They build knowledge and skills, but also kindness, responsibility and the courage to try again when something is difficult.
As JoyKids continues under the management of GrowBright International School, families have the opportunity to follow a connected educational journey. Children who move on to GrowBright can build upon familiar habits of inquiry, collaboration and reflection within its IB pathway. This continuity supports a confident transition to primary school while allowing children to grow into deeper learning and greater responsibility.
Our focus remains on giving children what they need now, at each stage of childhood. With secure relationships, meaningful experiences and strong foundations in both learning and character, they are well prepared for the opportunities ahead.
